Mistress of the Sea is the local name for a loerfalos (lo ER vah los), which in the wizard’s tongue means “serpent of green darkness.” Always female, she is a very large, immortal dragon-like creature that lives in the northern seas. Though very elusive and not often seen, she appears in The Gray Isles and Ascarion.
